"Polygonum Hydropiper L. is a characteristic and well-marked European species which is also somewhat widespread in North
America. Recent American floristic works give the impression that it is indigenous in some portions at least of its American range. The discovery of a rather well-marked variety, described later in this paper, which is characteristic of a considerable portion of the American range of P. Hydropiper, lends a certain interest to the nativity of the
American plant and justifies some discussion of the records of P. Hydropiper in America." (source : auteur) |
