Résumé : |
"British bryologists have frequently experienced difficulty in separating Orthodontium gracile from the introduced O. lineare. Smith (1978) uses the sexuality of the plant and peristome characters. The first character is problematical since O. lineare can be heteroecious, and determining sexuality is not always easy. Furthermore, finding sporophytes at the appropriate stage of development is a serious limitation. Even when mature capsules are present, the endostome and upper segments of the exostome may have broken away, giving the impression of smooth peristome teeth, suggesting o. gracile. However, the lower (usually two) exostome segments of
o. lineare are also smooth and I have seen errors in herbarium material as a result of this confusion." (source : auteur) |
