Résumé : |
"The history of the Eifel heath by pollen analysis. There are three periods during which wide areas of the Vulkaneifel must have been covered with Calluna•heath : 1) about 3000 B.C. 2) during 4 th and 5 th century of the Christian era. 3) (less extensive) probably during the Thirty Years War.
However, Calluna did always exist since about 3500 B.C perhaps with exception of the time between 1500 B.C. and the first century of the Christian era. Hence we have to infer that the Eifel heath is of anthropogene origin. Even during Late-glacial and Pre-boreal there was only some less extended dwarf shrub heath in the Eifel. Concerning the history of the Sarothamnus heath, we cannot make statement by pollen analysis." (source : auteur) |
