"The presented work is the result of many years of research on the taxonomy and distribution of Oenothera species in Europe, carried out on the basis of plant specimens collected during field excursions or obtained from seeds in cultivation. A key to identification of 61 european taxa of Oenothera, comprising plants native to Europe, established aliens, as well as those escaping from cultivation is provided. I hope the key will serve well to european botanists in identification evening primroses both in the field and in herbarium." (source : auteurs) |
