Résumé : |
"Plantago maritima and P. coronopus form a dense vegetation about 1-3 cm high on exposed coastal cliffs in western Ireland. R.L. Praeger was the first to call attention to this vegetation on Clare Island in 1903 and subsequentiy recorded it in several other localities. He gave the name 'Plantago sward' to the community, but hitherto it has not been syntaxonomically defined. This paper belatedly validates it as the Plantaginetum coronopodo-maritimi."
