Résumé : |
"On 22 March 1943, the second author collected a moss in the Dutch naturereserve 'Naardermeer' (Lake of Naarden), well known as a breeding-place of rare birds, e.g. spoonbills. It grew on peaty soil in a part of the Reserve called 'Thijsse's Bos' (Wood of Thijsse), a birchwood approximately sixty years old and strictly preserved for the last twenty-five years. This moss had probably not grown there all that time. The tuft had a diameter of about 3 in. only. It was accompanied by Tetraphis pellucida, Cephalozia connivens and Sphagnum spp. Amongst many setae with young thecae only four old and weathered capsules were found. The teeth of the peristome were in a bad state and only very few of the processes were left. This made determination difficult. Careful work was necessary to observe the remains of the inner peristome, but, after examination, the only possibility was the genus Orthodontium." (source : auteurs) |
